Dr Jamie Maraj graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Western Australia. Following graduation, he began his career in regional WA, working across both private and public sector roles in Albany, on Western Australia’s south coast.
To further his academic interests, he then relocated to New York City to obtain a Master of Public Health from Columbia University as a Fulbright Scholar.
On returning to Australia, he decided to make Melbourne home, where he began working as a resident in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery unit at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. Here, he worked under the guidance of oral and maxillofacial surgeons to hone his skills in oral surgery, particularly in the removal of impacted wisdom teeth.
Now taking his surgical skills into private practice, Dr Maraj joins the team at BEC Dental as a dentist with a special interest in oral surgery, dedicating his practice to the removal of impacted wisdom teeth.
When not in the clinic, Dr Maraj can most likely be found out exploring Melbourne’s bustling hospitality scene.
