Dr Jon Sprague graduated from the dental school at the University of Melbourne in 1993. After an intern year at the Royal Dental Hospital and the Goulburn Valley Base Hospital, he commenced work in Private Practice. He already had a keen interest in implant dentistry and orthodontics and started taking further studies in both these fields.
After five years in private practice, he flew off to London to work and discover Europe. What was to be a two-year stint became twelve. He worked at a leading cosmetic dental practice which enabled him to really hone his skills. He also underwent surgical implant training, Invisalign training in 2005, and was extensively mentored in his early full mouth rehabilitation (dental rejuvenation) cases.
Dr Sprague has been practicing orthodontics all his 26 years as a dentist and has been providing Invisalign from when it was still in its infancy. This and his training in Digital Smile Design all tie in with his passion in cosmetic dentistry.
His calm steady nature makes him a natural at helping people suffering from phobias and anxiety. Even the most nervous patients can leave with a smile, and they surprise themselves with what they can achieve.
Dr Sprague loves keeping fit at the gym or riding his road bike. He loves to travel around the world and favourite spots include South America and Europe. At home he has two little cheeky fur babies Felix and Leila who are both Lakeland Terriers (Terrors!). Dr Sprague balances all his activities with reading as well as meditation every morning before coming to work.
