Paul completed his undergraduate degree at Melbourne University in 1979, attaining his Bachelor of Dental Science degree with Honours. After a period in general practice and an extended sojourn travelling overseas, Paul commenced post-graduate studies in 1985, obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons in 1987.
In 1988, he joined Dr Harley Moffatt in East Kew. Paul has a keen interest in the scientific basis of clinical procedures and strongly believes in continuing education as a prerequisite to delivering the highest standard of dental care to his patients.
Dr Wright combines his extensive experience with enthusiasm for dental education and the technological changes in 21st-century dentistry.
- He served as a demonstrator to dental students at Melbourne University for over ten years.
- He served on the Graduate Education Committee of the Australian Dental Association and nine years on the committee of the Australian Prosthodontic Society as President for 2006/2007. He is currently serving as a member of the A.D.A. defence committee.
- He serves as an examiner in clinical practice for the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons (R.A.C.D.S.) and as an examiner in Operative Dentistry for the Australian Dental Council – the governing body that certifies overseas dentists practise in Australia. He is currently an examiner for the M.R.A.C.D.S. programme.
Paul incorporates the latest proven techniques into his practice of dentistry or works closely with the other practitioners to offer all viable treatment options and coordinate the delivery of the highest quality dental care.
Paul is very active, being a keen cyclist and skier and loves spending time in the country. He is married with two children.
